US Clickworkers have to provide their SSN as part of their profile before they can receive payments from us. This is necessary for us to make sure that you are actually allowed to work and that we are legally allowed to pay you for that work. It is also an additional security measure to ensure the legitimacy of your clickworker account.
If you are an employer and have an EIN, you can provide it as an alternative to your SSN. Simply put it into the same form field and ignore the hyphens being slightly off in that case. Just make sure that you use the same ID in both your tax details and your W-9 tax form.
